Huw has lived in Aberystwyth for over 30 years and was educated at Plascrug Primary School and subsequently Penglais Comprehensive School, where he became Head Boy in his final year. He then attended Swansea University, where he gained an Ll.B in Law and a Masters Degree in Criminology. After 12 months as a paralegal with Morris & Bates Huw went on to complete his Legal Practice Course at the College of Law in Chester. He then returned to Morris & Bates in 2004 to complete his training contract and qualified as a solicitor in July 2005.
Huw is the firm’s Landlord & Tenant specialist, dealing mainly with commercial lease transactions and Assured Shorthold Tenancy Agreements. He also deals with residential and commercial conveyancing as well as being the firm’s recruitment Partner.
Huw is an avid football fan and is heavily involved with Bow Street Football Club having recently retired as first team manager after a 5 year stint at the helm. He is also a keen traveller, having spent a total of 18 months travelling in Australia, Canada and New Zealand, including 3 months’ work as a paralegal for Clayton Utz, a large corporate law firm in Sydney, Australia.
Huw is Vice-President of the West Wales Young Solicitors’ Group, Director and Company Secretary of Menter Aberystwyth and a member of the Aberystwyth Business Club.
